Mṛttikā is perhaps our most geographically specific piece. The cotton is handloomed in a village outside Hubli, and the pigments are literally drawn from the red earth of the Deccan Plateau. The dyeing process is slow — the fabric is soaked, sun-dried, re-soaked over the course of weeks until the colour becomes inseparable from the fibre. The resulting tone is warm, deep, and unmistakably of the land. The wrap is structured through origami-inspired folds that hold their shape without interfacing.
Handloom cotton, earth-pigment dyed. Dry clean preferred. Hand wash cold if necessary — some colour release is natural on first wash. Air dry in shade. The earth pigment will deepen slightly with age.
Each piece is carefully prepared and shipped from our Bangalore studio. Delivery timelines vary based on location and will be confirmed upon enquiry.
For international collectors, customs duties may apply at the destination country.
Dyed with earth pigments sourced from the Deccan Plateau, this sculptural wrap carries the colour and memory of the land itself.
