Yellow Garments in Art Gallery

Myth Era is a Wearable Art Gallery.

We are a premium bespoke atelier in Jayanagar, Bangalore, dedicated to the revival of ancestral textiles. By transforming vintage silks, heirloom khadi, and generational weaves into singular, contemporary silhouettes, we create wearable art that belongs in a gallery.

Every garment is a custom commission, meticulously handcrafted to bridge historic craftsmanship and modern art. Welcome to the Art of the Only.

Myth Era Fabric Library
The Myth Era Fabric Library

Every fabric here was chosen, not found.

We don’t work with whatever is available. Our fabrics are sourced through deliberate, ongoing search: from weavers, textile regions, independent mills, and collectors across the country and beyond. Each one earns its place.

Selectively Collected

Not deadstock, not reclaimed. We seek textiles that are alive and intentional, with integrity in weave, dye, and origin.

Limited Quantities

Each fabric is sourced in limited quantities. Once it’s gone, we don’t reorder the same bolt.

Diverse Sources

We pull from diverse sources: handlooms, regional specialties, artisan cooperatives, and hard-to-find textile traditions.

Revive & Reimagine

Bring your fabric.
We’ll give it a new life.

That saree tucked away in your grandmother’s trunk. The silk that hasn’t seen daylight in twenty years. The fabric with a story heavier than its weight. We think it deserves to be worn again, not forgotten.

At Myth Era, we take ancestral and heirloom textiles, fabrics that carry memory, and reconstruct them into silhouettes you’ll actually reach for today. Not replicas. Not costumes. Something new, shaped by something old.

How it works

You bring the fabric. We design a piece built around its character, weight, and history.

What we honour

Its origin. Every revamped piece comes with a note on the fabric’s provenance, preserved in the label.

The result

One of one. No two revived pieces will ever be the same, because no two stories are.

“We don’t call it upcycling. We call it continuity.”

Appliqué Work

Appliqué Work

Every swatch holds a piece of something real.

Appliqué is one of the oldest ways humans have told stories on cloth. A shape cut, placed, and fixed, a decision made by hand. At Myth Era, we treat every patch not as decoration, but as an element of composition.

Our appliqué work pieces are built from our selectively sourced fabric library, which means the fabrics layered into each piece are as considered as the silhouette itself. No filler, no repetition. Each panel, motif, or inlay is chosen for how it speaks to what's around it.

Multi-Source Layering

Pieces sourced from different fabric origins, each one with its own texture and character.

Placed with Purpose

Every appliqué is positioned as part of a design decision. Always limited.

Committed to the Cycle

Sustainability isn’t a label we wear. It’s how we work.

Every scrap of fabric that leaves our studio is accounted for. We partner with recycling NGOs like Hasirudala to ensure that our production waste is responsibly processed, not discarded. From selectively sourced textiles to zero-waste aspirations, our commitment to circularity runs through every stitch.
